PAQUITO is a brilliant artist and 16-time GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner who also happens to be a great entertainer. Cuban-born, he defected in 1980 at a substantial personal cost. An immigrant success story, D'Rivera has proven a restless musical genius. A superior clarinetist, sax player, and composer, he's constantly exploring a wide variety of musical styles — always with his trademark blend of an inquisitive musical mind, irreverent humor, and impeccable technique. Filmed in New York, Boston, Wolf Trap, VA, Miami and Uruguay, the film includes collaborations with pianist Chucho Valdés and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
